In a 40-minute tour packed with stories, visitors can explore the way in which electricity – a relative novelty a century ago – has powered Hong Kong’s growth and brought many transformational changes to people’s lives. Visitors can also learn about a power company’s meticulous planning aimed at solving the energy trilemma, and enjoy different interactive, immersive activities that guide them towards the lifestyles of a greener future.

Want to understand the link between the Kadoorie businesses and Hong Kong’s post-war development, and how intangible cultural heritage connects people? Check out Our Home ∙ Our History and Living Craftsmanship.
On display at Our Home ∙ Our History are rare photographs, films and artefacts and a selection of oral history video highlights of people from all walks of life. Next door at Living Craftsmanship, features eight items of traditional craftsmanship of Hong Kong’s ICH, inviting visitors to explore their historical and cultural significance, and the stories behind their transmission.
Free Cantonese docent guided tours last for an hour are available on every Wednesday at 3:30pm. Interested parties are welcome to join onsite as walk-ins. Please assemble outside 1/F Cafe five minutes before the tour.
Individual groups are welcome to book a guided tour on a flexible day and time during our operation days. The tour can be conducted in Cantonese, English or Putonghua. Please call 2678 8193 or send email to programmes@hongkongheritage.org for enquiry or booking.
To appreciate the Grade 1 Historic Building
Join our docent guided tour to admire the architectural features and character defining elements of the clock tower on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at 3:30pm. Led by volunteer docents, the Cantonese tour lasts for 45 minutes and is free of charge. Interested parties are welcome to join onsite as walk-ins. Meet us at G/F lobby five minutes prior to the start of tour.

CLP Pulse regularly organises thematic exhibitions and activities that offer insights into heritage conservation, energy transition and sustainable development, while inspiring visitors to explore the possibilities of future smart cities.
Visitor Guidelines
- CLP Pulse is part of Hong Kong’s heritage. Kindly respect and preserve its historical items and safeguard its heritage features from damage.
- Please help maintain a quiet and pleasant environment, do not make excessive noise and avoid causing disturbance to other visitors.
- Please help us keep CLP Pulse clean and tidy. Do not eat or drink except in designated areas.
- No smoking inside CLP Pulse.
- To ensure a pleasant visit for everyone, please do not use flash photography or tripods.
- Please do not write on, mark, soil, or damage any exhibit, installation, wall or facility in the museum.
- Visitors and staffs from external organisations are not allowed to arrange guided tours in the museum without authorisation.
- To ensure safety and to be considerate to other visitors, please do not run, play, sit on the floor and block the corridors inside the museum.
- Please take care of accompanying children, elderly and people in need. If you require any assistance, please contact our staff.
- Please do not bring the following items into the museum:
- Weapons or dangerous materials
- Alcoholic beverages
- Wheeled luggage
- Skateboards and scooters
- To protect the architecture of CLP Clock Tower and to ensure the safety of the visitors, crowd management measures will be implemented if the number of visitors exceeds the maximum capacity of the exhibition area which is set at 150 persons.
- Walk-in groups of more than 50 participants are required to contact CLP Pulse at 2678 1847 at least one week in advance for arrangement.
- The staff of CLP Pulse reserves the right to request the departure of any person or group who cause disturbance to other visitors or daily operation of the museum.
- Take good care of your belongings.
- Pets are not allowed, except for service dogs.
- In accordance with the operational needs and condition inside the museum, CLP Pulse reserves the right to adjust its opening hours and dates.

Extreme Weather Special Arrangements
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal
- When Strong Wind Signal No.3 is hoisted, CLP Pulse will remain open. Ongoing indoor activities will continue under a safe condition, while outdoor activities will be cancelled.
- When the Hong Kong Observatory issues a special announcement regarding the time the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 will be in force, CLP Pulse will close two hours prior to the signal taking effect.
- CLP Pulse will remain closed when the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above is in force.
- If Signal No. 8 is lowered or cancelled before 12 noon, CLP Pulse will reopen after 3 hours. However, all pre-booked guided tours and activities will be cancelled on that day.
- If Signal No. 8 remains in force at or after 12 noon, CLP Pulse will remain closed for the day.
Rainstorm Warning Signal
- When Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, CLP Pulse will remain open. Indoor activities will continue under a safe condition, while outdoor activities will be assessed according to weather conditions.
- When a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during CLP Pulse’s opening hours, it will remain open. Ongoing indoor tours and activities will continue under a safe condition, while outdoor activities will be cancelled immediately.
- If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued before opening hours, CLP Pulse will be closed during the warning is in force.
- If the signal is lowered or cancelled before 12 noon, CLP Pulse will reopen after 3 hours. However, all pre-booked guided tours and activities will be cancelled on that day.
- If the signal remains in force at or after 12 noon, CLP Pulse will remain closed for the day.
